Scott Mikesh
Mental Fitness Instructor
Scott Mikesh is an award-winning certified LGBTBE® business leader, author, neurodiversity specialist, and one of the notable pioneers of the Mental Fitness Movement in the U.S.
After twenty years of applying psychological theories to influence attitudes and behaviors in corporate marketing and communications, Scott founded 4D Fit Mental Fitness to proactively promote mental health, motivation, and achievement from the inside-out.
In 2016 (at the age of 40), Scott earned his Certification in Personal Training through NASM, after which he began digging deeper into the brain and nervous system to discover WHY doing healthful things can be so challenging, even when we consciously know the healthful things to do. Understanding the importance of social dynamics, he added to his certifications as a Group Fitness Instructor through AFAA.
“It was only after I began learning about brain health when I finally shed the shame of my own anxiety... I truly believe when we dismiss or deny the function of the brain, we prolong the cycle of dysfunction and pain.”
In 2021, Scott published his first book titled MY BRAIN CAN’T POOP: A mental fitness guide for humans to raise awareness about the critical factors of brain health, mental function, and neurodiversity in maintaining overall health, fitness, and well-being.
To make mental fitness training more accessible for all, Scott also launched MentalFitness4All as a 501(c)3 charitable partner program to provide reduced-cost community training programs.
